Stop! It’s okay!

Are you the one that would do anything for the ones you care for, even if it means pushing yourself beyond your limits? Are you the one that would move the strongest mountains for someone, simply because they asked you to? Are you the one that would fill their plate with more responsibilities than they could handle, only because you’re bound to? Are you the one that would go that extra mile to help somebody just because you care about what people think of you? Are you the one that never says never?

Well then, STOP! It’s okay!

It’s okay not to say “yes” to every single thing you’re asked to do! You aren’t really obligated to do something for someone! Sure, your boss expects you to be efficient in your work and pays you for the same. But hey, it’s okay to say no for things you aren’t comfortable or happy doing! Sure, your parents love you and raised you selflessly, but it’s okay to say no to their overly stereotypical thinking and live life on your terms! Sure, your life partner showers you with immense affection and care, but it’s okay to say no to their sudden desires if they don’t thrill you that much! It’s okay!!!

Saying “yes” to everyone is stressful! Whatever you do, whatever you say, people are going to judge you anyway! If you’re basing your priorities based on what people have to say about you, STOP! It’s not worth the trouble. Many always tend to be ignorant of the fact that eventually the only ones affected by the decisions they make is not going to be anyone else, but themselves!

Life moves on. It continues to progress and makes it way irrespective of whether you say “yes” or “no”. You can spend the remaining of your life worrying, getting stressed and depressed because you say yes all the time!

Or, you can spend the rest of your life in peace, relaxing and savouring every moment, because you are wise enough to place your happiness before things that don’t really matter. Because you are wise enough to say no!

Live the life you love. Love the life you live.
